Speaker Series: CoastPride Presentation of Basic LGBTQ+ Topics

Join us for a presentation by Kassandra (Kassi) Talbot, President at CoastPride. CoastPride is our local LGBTQ+ advocacy non-profit. Kassi will teach some of the basics about Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression; and share about CoastPride's work on the Coastside!

Kassandra (Kassi) Talbot (she/her/hers) EdD is a doctor of Educational Leadership. Her dissertation title is: “Reclaiming the Story: Youth Participatory Action Research in the Rural Social Studies Classroom”. She has been a classroom co-learner for the past nine  years. She facilitates high school Spanish and History courses and teaches Teen Health to 6-8th. Kassi is the current CoastPride President, a CTA Human Rights Cadre Trainer and a Red Cross First Aid Instructor. When she is not working on projects for the youth, Kassandra enjoys spending the day with her partner, dogs and family on a multi-generation compound on the Coastside.
